In the temple, Jesus witnessed merchants bustling about, selling all kinds of animals for sacrifice. What a scene it must have been!
Jesus made it abundantly clear that this buying and selling was a misuse of the sacred space, and he was visibly upset by it. Normally, I would delve into that topic here, and I'm thrilled to discuss it further if you'd like. However, I want to spotlight this verse because the Lord spoke to me profoundly during this reading. In my notes, I mention these animals, and a seemingly incidental detail struck me—these animals are reminiscent of those described in the zodiac. Why is this significant?
