Many individuals assert that God provides us with secret keys for comprehensive healing, often writing books or offering teachings suggesting God has provided a ten-step program. However, this is not entirely accurate. For instance, there is a current claim regarding overall health being linked to fasting and prayer, based on stories like the one found in Mark and Matthew about the man with a son suffering from epilepsy. I recommend you read these stories carefully for a deeper understanding.

In the story, a father brings his son to Jesus and the disciples. The disciples are tasked with using their gifts to heal the boy. However, they are unable to do so because they realize that the epilepsy is caused by a demonic spirit that must be cast out for healing to occur, yet they fail. When the disciples inquire of Jesus why they couldn't succeed, Jesus explains it is due to their lack of faith. The demon recognizes this and is able to resist their rebuke. Jesus explains that fasting and prayer are needed in this instance. This does not imply that every demonic encounter or illness requires fasting and prayer, nor that the specific demon is more powerful; rather, the demon builds resistance when faith is lacking. The purpose of prayer and fasting is to strengthen faith.

Prayer serves to connect to the source and reestablish the relationship that allows a good flow of power from the source. Fasting breaks down strongholds and powers, disrupting the grip and connection from the wrong sources, such as self or the enemy. Although fasting may cause you to feel weak and tired due to deprivation, this weakness enhances sensitivity. When one sense is diminished, others compensate, leading to heightened sensitivity, making you more receptive to receiving the power or knowledge the Spirit of God needs to instill in you to elevate your faith, thereby activating and equipping the power and solidifying the connection between you and God. Jesus did not require this because He is the source; when He fasted and prayed, it served a different purpose but had the same effect. Whenever He healed someone, power was drawn from His source, keeping Him ready and energized.

Spirits are pure energy and require energy to be fully charged. To effectively exercise your spiritual gifts, you must be fully charged with the power of faith. This is the essential key. However, the notion that fasting and prayer alone are sufficient for healing is a misconception. These actions alone won't achieve significant results. Many possess a form of knowledge but lack true understanding and wisdom.

Fasting, when practiced correctly, is a powerful tool for healing as it embodies love and honors God through genuine self-sacrifice. This act activates God's intervention, breaking the enemy's hold and inviting divine presence due to the individual's heartfelt posture and intentional mindset. God recognizes and honors this, causing the enemy to retreat.

Absolutely, whatever you believe becomes your truth, as our thoughts and words hold significant power. It's crucial to be mindful of what you speak and confess. When you focus on something long enough, you'll start to believe it. If you believe something will heal you, it will; if you don't, it won't. If your beliefs conflict with God and His word, they become a hindrance. Therefore, always seek God's truth to set you free and affirm you. Test all sprits .
